Claire van Vuuren is the head chef and owner of Bloodwood in Newtown Sydney, opened in 2010. Her food is bold, heartfelt, packed with flavour and reflects her heritage and love of travel. She is a founding board member of Women in Hospitality, which supports and mentors hospitality professionals. She also helped pioneer the Newtown Locals, a group of local restaurants working with the community to tackle homelessness in the area.
